In Louisville and throughout Kentucky more and more people are being placed in nursing homes and skilled nursing facilities. This has caused an sharp increase between the companies that own these facilities to attract new residents and to keep operating costs down. This unfortunately often translates into a decrease in patient or resident care which can lead to nursing home abuse. With the ability to keep their staffs at a minimal level, residents often do not receive care fast enough. A prime example of this is a nursing homes failure to report bedsores fast enough.  This can and often does lead to severe injuries and even death from the nursing homes abuse and neglect.
