CVS Settles Prescription Mistake Lawsuit
CVS pharmacy has settled a lawsuit filed over a prescription mistake. The national chain, which has pharmacies in Louisville and throughout Kentucky, settled the lawsuit for a confidential amount. The lawsuit dealt with a pharmacy technician at Eckerd filling the wrong medication for a prescription. They did not have enough of the medication and asked a nearby CVS to fill the remaining amount. There was a lapse in communication and the patient got the wrong dose prescribed. After taking the wrong prescription they suffered kidney damage and lost a kidney.Category: Medication Errors
