A jury verdict worth more than $12 million was awarded to the family of a victim who died tragically after a concrete mixer truck fell on top of the car she was traveling in with her husband. The victim was hospitalized and died eight days following the truck accident. The couple's vehicle was crushed as they were driving on the public highway when they were hit by an Allied Concrete Company truck.
According to court records, the truck driver pled guilty to manslaughter and served 30 days in prison. The husband survived the accident, however, sustained serious injuries.
