According to Kentucky State Police, a flat bed truck that was carrying large boat propellers and traveling on KY 286, which is a popular short cut between Wickliffe and Paducah located in Ballard County, ran off the road and caused severe damage. The truck ran off the shoulder of the road, overcorrected itself causing it to cross the center line, and then go up an embankment. As a result, two propellers fell off the truck and damaged the highway, which prevented vehicles from traveling on the highly trafficked road. Fortunately, there were no reported injuries of motorists in other cars involving the truck or due to the road conditions.
