At what point should we contact a doctor to have our grandmother's bedsore looked at?

 

A: If you notice any broken skin or open sores, then you should contact a doctor right away. If you don't get immediate medical care, then the condition can worsen quickly and unnecessarily.

If you observe signs of infection, such as fever, drainage from the sore, a foul odor, or increased heat and redness in the surrounding skin, then medical care must be obtained immediately.
