Louisville, Kentucky. A two-car accident involving a Toyota pickup truck and small sedan Sunday morning at 4:30 a.m. resulted in the death of 76-year old Kui Leach. According to Louisville Metro Police Department ("LMPD"), the head-on collision occurred when Leach, driver of sedan, was driving south on Taylor Bouleveard by Bluegrass Avenue when her vehicle crossed the center line and hit the Toyota pickup truck head-on, which was traveling north on Taylor Boulevard.
The driver of the pickup truck was taken to University of Louisville Hospital for treatment. The Driver of the sedan, however, was pronounced dead at the scene at 4:50 a.m. The Jefferson County Coroner's office stated that Leach died from severe injuries suffered in the crash.
Police believe that the area's roadway was damp, and that this road condition may have been a contributing factor in the fatal accident.
