Lexington Car Accident Sends Man to Jail

Posted on Oct 26, 2009

Three car accidents in Lexington, Kentucky, were all caused by the same man. The incident happened early Monday morning just after midnight on October 19, 2009 on Leestown Road and New Circle.

The accidents were caused by Erick Revlorio, 29, who was driving a red Chevy Blazer at the time.

Police were called about shots being fired in the area.  When police arrived on the scene, they discovered that the sound that neighbors heard was actually the sound of a car crashing into a mailbox. A witness reported that they had seen Revlorio’s Chevy Blazer leaving the scene.

While police were looking for the red Blazer, they stumbled upon the crash at Leestown Road and New Circle. The Blazer apparently ran a red light and broadsided another car sending that driver to a nearby Kentucky hospital.  The driver suffered neck and chest injuries. However, neither is considered to be life-threatening.

During their investigation, police noted that another car had been hit. The driver suffered only minor injuries and did not require to be treated at a hospital.

Revlorio is responsible for all three cashes and was taken to jail, according to local police. Police have charged him with driving under the influence, no insurance, leaving the scene of an accident and driving without a valid driver’s license.

The Lexington, Kentucky crashes are still under investigation by local authorities.
