NHTSA Kentucky Accident Statistics: 2010 Motorcycle Fatality Facts

It was at approximately 8:15 p.m. on Saturday July 27, 2013 that Kentucky State Police were called to the scene of a fatal accident. The crash reportedly occurred at the intersection of US 31 W (also known as Louisville Road) and US 68 & KY 80 (also known as Glasgow Road).

Kentucky State Trooper Adam Morgan of the Kentucky State Police Post 3 in Bowling Green reportedly responded the crash. Area fire departments and other emergency first responders also came to the accident scene.

It is alleged that 31 year old Roger D. Miller of Bowling Green, Kentucky was driving a 2001 Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on US 31 W when his bike collided with a 2011 Chrysler 300 driven by 56 year old Sheila D. Depp of Glasgow, Kentucky. Ms. Depp was reportedly making a left turn on to US 68 & KY 80 at the time of the collision.

Accident reports indicate that Mr. Miller was pronounced dead by the Warren County Coroner’s Office at the scene of this accident. There were no immediate reports about whether Ms. Depp was injured in this crash.

In 2011 (the most recent year for which complete data is available), motorcycles were involved in about 6.5% of all fatal Kentucky accidents and in less than one percent of all other collisions. 71 fatal motorcycle accidents occurred in Kentucky that year. This accident investigation, led by Trooper Morgan, is still ongoing.

Our Kentucky car accident lawyers extend our deepest condolences to the friends and family of Roger Miller following this tragic crash.
