Walgreens Pharmacy has been sued in Kentucky and across the country to filling prescriptions with the wrong drug, wrong dose or both. In some cases, the pharmacy chain has admitted their errors. In others, they have denied the claims. The injuries in the cases against Walgreens have ranged from sleeplessness to death. An Auburn study estimates that 48,000 to 99,000 people die each year from pharmacy errors and that pharmacists make a whopping 56 million pharmacy prescription errors each year.
Kentucky is not immune from pharmacy errors.
