Fatal Truck Wreck In Texas

A driver is killed after an accident causes the truck he was operating to roll over and catch fire in southwest Houston.

The truck was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 59, the Southwest Freeway, when a car clipped the vehicle near the Weslayan exit and caused it roll over and catch fire before 8: 30 p.m. Monday.

The body of the male driver who drove the truck was consumed by the vehicle fire while a female passenger with two dogs was able to exit the truck before the flames overtook the truck. She was taken to Ben Taub General Hospital to be treated for her injuries.
