Federal Government Again Reviews Hours-of-Service Rule For Commercial Truck Drivers

The U.S. Department of Transporation's Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is once again reviewing the length of time commercial drivers can operate trucks before they are required to take a break. The previous rules were established in 2005 and replaced the Hours-of-Service regulations that were last updated in 2003.  Hopefully, the FMCSA will continue to enact regulations that keep drivers healthy and make highways safer by reducing driver fatigue which can lead to catastrophic semi tractor-trailer and other big truck accidents
