One person was killed and another person was airlifted to the hospital after a wreck that occurred in Anderson County on the morning of Wednesday, September 15, 2010, which involved a semi-truck and two cars. The accident happened at approximately 11:00 a.m. at the intersection of Kentucky 127 & 62 in Lawrenceburg, Kentucky. Witnesses say that the semi-truck ran a red traffic light, but police have not yet confirmed that.
A member of the local news station, LEX 18, who was at the scene reported having observed a driver being arrested following the accident for having nearly hit a police officer directing post-accident traffic. The officer had to shoot at the tires of the vehicle in order to stop the driver.
