Why are chemotherapy overdoses increasing in Kentucky?

Cancer treatment centers are increasing in number in Kentucky. With this increase has come an unfortunate increase in the number of chemotherapy and radiation mistakes. If an accredited cancer center makes a chemotherapy error or radiation error the facility (whether its a hospital or an offsite cancer treatment center) should report ALL errors to the Kentucky Cabinet for review.  Unfortunately, unless the patient files a lawsuit for chemotherapy overdose or lawsuit for radiation overdose many Kentucky centers fail to report these overdoses. Hopefully more will be done to enforce these important reporting regulations in the future so errors can be corrected.
