Emergency Crews on Site for Hours After Motorcycle Crash, 1 Critical

Motorcycle versus car crash tied up highly trafficked street, even with emergency crews called following the accident. According to police, the northbound lanes of Chicago's Lake Shore Drive were tied up on the evening of October 6th as police, ambulance, fire department paramedics and emergency crews responded to a car accident involving a motorcycle.

In a statement released by Chicago Police News Affairs Officer, Darryl Baety, the accident involved a motorcycle and an auto in the northbound lanes near Addison Street on the 3600 block of North Lake Shore Drive at about 7:30 p.m. According to a spokesperson for the Chicago Fire Department, its paramedics took one person to Mount Sinai Hospital. The injured person's conditions were not yet available. Immediately afterward, emergency crews were called and began to clear up the accident.
