Exhausted Truck Drivers Continue to Present Problems for Commuters on Kentucky Highways

"The tractor trailer was the only vehicle involved in the accident and the driver, Rodney Parish, suffered minor injuries, said Carroll County Sheriff Ben Smith.
The accident happened about 3:30 a.m. at mile marker 41 between Campbellsburg and Carrollton and the lanes didn’t reopen until 11:30 a.m., a Carrollton Police dispatcher said.
Parish told police he fell asleep at the wheel, Smith said. His truck swerved and took out about 200 feet of guardrail before driving off the road and turning over, Smith said.
