South Louisville, Kentucky. In an article published by Associated Press, local authorities reported the tragic story of a 22-month old toddler who died after she was hit by her father's Lincoln Navigator jeep vehicle while in the family's driveway Friday night. According to authorities, the unidentified father said he was unable to see the child due to the height of the vehicle. After hitting the girl, he loaded her into his SUV and called 911 while on his way to Kosair Children's Hospital. The 911 dispatcher convinced the father to pull his vehice over to the side of the road, and to wait for an ambulance, however, emergency medical responders were not able to help the child. Louisville police spokesperson Dwight Mitchell stated that police currently believe the child's tragic death to be an accident, and that no charges have been brought.
