A Louisville accident involving two vehicles ends with the death of one person. The incident occurred at approximately 9:15 PM on Tuesday evening, November 3, 2009 at the 12000 block of Dixie Highway in the Louisville area.
According to witnesses, the accident occurred when a red pickup truck heading south on Dixie Highway slammed into the side of a red car. The truck apparently veered of the highway suddenly and slammed into the driver’s side of the car.
Reports indicate that the impact of the crash pushed the red car approximately 50 feet down the road before finally coming to a stop. According to officers, the driver of the red car was killed in the accident. Officials have not released the identity of that victim.
The driver of the truck did not appear to suffer any injuries as a result of the wreck. No other information about the identity or the pickup truck driver’s condition was made available.
However, investigators did indicate that the driver of the pickup truck was tested for intoxication and given a road sobriety test. The driver passed the test.
The two-vehicle Louisville accident is still under investigation by local authorities as to determine the cause of the crash. It was unclear if the driver of the red truck would be charged.
