New Louisville Metro Alert System for Emergency Conditions

November 4, 2011 - Louisville, Ky. - One of the common causes of car accidents in Kentucky is inclement weather. When heavy rain, snow, or windstorms create hazardous driving conditions, drivers must be extra cautious to avoid causing accidents.

The Code Red system sends out notifications by text message, e-mails and phone calls. Residents with a telephone number in a city database will automatically be contacted and encouraged to sign up online for the free service.
