October 3, 2010 - Louisville, KY - A woman was killed in a possible DUI car accident in Marion County. Shannon Pinkston, 34, was a passenger in a car traveling on Highway 527, just 4 miles north of St. Francis.
Wave Channel 3 reports that the driver, James Pinkston, 36, lost control of the car and struck a tree. Both the driver and passenger were not wearing seatbelts. James Pinkston was thrown from the car and was taken to the University of Louisville. The extent of his injuries was unknown.
Shannon Pinkston died at the scene of the car accident. Police are continuing to investigate but indicate that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
