1 Dead, Woman and Child Flown to Hospital after Louisville Crash

On July 16, 2012, WAVE 3 reported that a car was travelling on Interstate 71 late Sunday, July 15, 2012, when it swerved in an attempt to avoid debris on the highway. The driver, William Wildeboer, 56, then lost control of his vehicle, causing it to go off of the interstate and overturn multiple times before crashing into a ditch. 

William Wildeboer was killed in the accident. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Both of his passengers were injured in the crash and had to be flown to an area hospitals. Mary Wildeboer, 51, was taken to University of Louisville hospital, and young Jesse Wildeboer, 12, is being treated at Kosair Children’s Hospital. There has been no word on the extent of either or their injuries. No other vehicles were involved in the accident. Investigations are ongoing.
