Gray & White has filed a class action lawsuit against H&R Block for improperly filing thousands of tax returns. The lawsuit seeks certification as a national class action and compensation for individuals whose tax refund has been delayed as a result of H&R Block's mistake related to educational tax credits and form 8863.  The IRS has reported that over 600,000 tax returns were affected but did not disclose what percentage of those were filed by H&R Block. The company has publicly acknowledged the mistake.
