March 7, 2012 – Oldham County, Ky. – A single-vehicle car accident left a man dead on Sunday night, March 4.
A news story reported on WHAS11 indicates that the accident happened in the 3100 block of KY-1694 when a vehicle crashed on the road. More details of how the incident occurred are not available at this time.
The driver of the vehicle, 57-year-old David Klosterman, suffered fatal injuries in the accident. He was confirmed dead at the scene by officials who were called to the scene.
Reports concluded that Klosterman’s vehicle was the only one involved in the accident. No further injuries or fatalities have been reported in connection with this crash. The cause of the collision remains to be determined. Police in the area are handling all further investigations.
According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration’s 2009 Kentucky Crash Statistics, there were 791 fatalities as a result of traffic accidents in Kentucky.
