October 11, 2010 – Meade County, KY – Wave 3 News reports that a motorcyclist was killed in a head on collision with a motor vehicle.
The motorcycle accident took place on October 11in Meade County at the intersection of KY 144 and U.S. 60, just 3 miles north of Flaherty.
Just after 5 p.m., Tony Nix, 33 of Texas, was driving his 2006 Kawasaki motorcycle west when another driver turned left into his path on U.S. 60.
Rosemary K. Holston, 55, of Vine Grove, was travelling eastbound in her 2009 Chevrolet Equinox when she made the turn into Nix’s motorcycle. The head on- collision caused Nix to be thrown from his bike.
Holston suffered minor injuries but refused to be treated. Nix was flown with life-threatening injuries to University Hospital where he died the following morning.
