Fifteen-year-old Brianna Moore of Englewood, Ohio was allegedly traveling with her family on I -75 on Saturday, June 22, 2013. The family was reportedly headed home from a wedding when four vehicles collided on the highway near Lexington, Kentucky. The crash reportedly happened around 2:30 p.m. on I-75 near the I-64 interchange.
Few details about this Kentucky multicar crash were released in the immediate aftermath of the accident. However, it has been reported that one car was stopped on the side of the road, that four vehicles were involved in the collision, and that I-75 was closed for several hours as the police investigated the crash. An accident reconstruction team was allegedly brought in to assist with the accident investigation.
Brianna Moore reportedly suffered blunt force trauma to the head and passed away around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, June 23, 2013 while at University of Kentucky Chandler Hospital. Brianna had recently completed her freshman year at Northmont High School. She was a member of the school’s bowling team. She is survived by her parents, her siblings, her grandparents, and many relatives and friends.
Four other people were reportedly hurt in this crash. However, their conditions and prognoses were not immediately released to the media. It was not immediately reported whether anyone else in Brianna’s family was seriously hurt.
