Last month, 38-year-old Michael Mahan of Trenton, Georgia was traveling on I-24 in Kentucky with his 16-year-old daughter, Savannah Mahan, and his 11-year-old daughter, Meagan Mahan. The Mahan family was heading west on I-24 on Friday March 29, 2013 when their vehicle crossed the median and collided, head first, with a U-Haul and then with a Toyota Rav 4.

The U-Haul was driven by Richard Dooley of Arlington, Virginia, and the Rav 4 was driven by Mr. Dooley’s wife, Lisa Larimer. The Virginia couple’s two children, 7-year-old Ariel Dooley and 6-year-old Sierra Dooley were in the car with their mother at the time of this Kentucky crash.

Mr. Mahan and his two daughters reportedly died from their accident injuries. Meagan Mahan was reportedly pronounced dead at the scene of the accident. Her sister Savannah and her father Michel were taken to Gateway Medical Center where Michael Mahan died. Savannah was reportedly transferred to Vanderbilt University Medical Center where she died.

Ms. Larimer and her daughters, Ariel and Sierra, were also taken to Gateway Medical Center. In the hours after the accident, Ms. Larimer was reported to be in stable condition, and both of her daughters were reported to be in stable, but critical, condition. Mr. Dooley was not reported to be seriously injured in this multivehicle crash.

Our Louisville accident lawyers extend their best wishes to the Lisa Larimer, Ariel Dooley, and Sierra Dooley for full and fast recoveries, and we extend our condolences to the friends and relatives of the Mahan family following this tragic Kentucky accident.
