Posted on Jan 11, 2013

A tragic Kentucky car accident took the life of a young woman and seriously injured another woman last month. The accident occurred on Thursday December 6, 2012 shortly before 5am, at the intersection of Greenbelt Highway and Riverport Drive in Pleasure Ridge Park.

According to a Louisville Metro Police spokesperson, a white Ford van was traveling north on Greenbelt Highway and was trying to make a left on to Riverport Drive when it collided with a maroon Chevrolet sedan that was traveling southbound on Greenbelt Highway.

The driver of the van, whose name has not yet been released to the media, reportedly was not seriously injured in this crash. However, the driver and a passenger in the sedan suffered serious injuries, and both women were taken to University Hospital for treatment. The driver of the sedan, who has been identified as 31-year-old Tiandra Martin, died from her accident injuries. Her passenger, whose name has not yet been released, was reported to be in critical condition at University Hospital in the days following this Louisville car accident.

The cause of the accident remains under investigation by Louisville police who are looking into whether the van driver may have failed to yield.

Tiandra Martin is survived by her two children, her father, her stepfather, two sisters, and two brothers. Our Louisville car accident attorneys extend our sincere condolences to Ms. Martin’s children, parents, siblings, other relatives, and beloved friends following this tragic Pleasure Ridge Park accident. We also extend our best wishes to her passenger for a full and quick recovery from her accident injuries.
